Tech Takeover

Team 5740 was graciously invited to the Tech Takeover event at PNC Park by the Mars Robotics Association. We showcased our robot at the event, focusing on climbing and catapulting balls. It was so inspiring seeing the look of awe on the crowd watching our robot run. They were surprised that all of the robots had been built by high school students. One highlight was letting kids roll the cargo into the intake and letting them try to catch it. Even though it took the kids a few practice rounds, everyone was able to get a hang of it and enjoyed catching the balls being launched from the robot. The event was also a great way for us to connect and chat with the several other FRC teams at the event. Even though the home team lost the baseball game, we still had an amazing time at this event and hope to attend similar events in the future!
