Camps

 5740 team members work with younger students over the span of 5 days. The campers learn the qualities of FIRST as well as skills in CAD, Mechanical, and Software. They are given smaller scale robots to work on and make attachments for. Throughout this the campers are encouraged to use a different aspect of FIRST during each day of the camp. 

5740 students teach campers the basics of FIRST Robotics Competition - CAD, electronics, software programming, mechanical build, business skills, and award submission while fostering teamwork and gracious professionalism. On the last day of camp, the campers drive their completed robot chassis through an obstacle course. They are judged and our handmade awards are distributed. 

5740 members hosted a camp to introduce 4th through 8th graders to FIRST Lego League. The students taught the campers designing skills, block code, and the values of our team and FIRST. Students spent a week learning the basic principles of being an engineer, keeping a notebook or their tasks, designing their robot, coding, testing, and competing against other teams in their respective task.
